Nostalgic and Sentimental Summer Wedding in Lincoln Nebraska
Lydia and Robert’s wedding day was full of heart from start to finish. They envisioned a day that was simple, intimate, and nostalgic, and that vision was truly brought to life! From Lydia’s bouquet of white lilies to their candlelit ballroom reception at Lincoln Station Great Hall, the day was the picture of effortless beauty. Lydia brought so much meaning into the details. Every part of the day felt cherished and deeply personal to who they were as a couple. Lydia is incredibly sentimental, and family means everything to her. Getting ready at her parent’s home set that tone over the whole day. She honored that so beautifully throughout the ceremony as well, wearing her mother’s earrings and featuring both her parents’ cake knife set and her grandparents’ cake topper.
Every detail was given such care and forethought, and yet Lydia and Robert spent the day being entirely present with each other. Their portraits documented at Sunken Gardens capture those emotions so clearly. Lydia and Robert are the kind of people who remind me why I love what I do. It was truly an honor to document such a beautifully intentional wedding day.
